As the festive season in London begins to glow, we invite you to embrace a gentler, more mindful way of celebrating. November in London is a time for warm layers, golden walks, and meaningful moments… and the city offers countless ways to experience the magic sustainably and consciously. Whether you’re planning a wellness-focused winter escape or simply seeking sustainable things to do in London, this is the perfect moment to slow down and savour the season with intention.

Explore London’s Christmas Markets

From zero-waste pop-ups to local artisan fairs, discover markets championing handmade crafts, recycled materials, and small independent makers. These are the perfect places to find thoughtful gifts that tread lightly on the planet. Here are some Christmas Markets with sustainability initiatives:

Southbank Centre Winter Market: from 3rd November 2025 – 4th January 2025 where you can find a wide selection of stalls with sustainable and artisanal goods. A 30-minute tube ride from both Inhabit properties.

Covent Garden Christmas Market: from 12th November 2025 onwards where you can find independent craft and gift stalls to support the local community. A 30-minute tube ride from both Inhabit properties.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland: from 14th November 2025 onwards, the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is one of the most iconic events in London with a “Luminarie Lane” light trail and festive fairground fun. Free entry during off-peak hours. Standard entrance fee starting from £5.00 and for peak hours from £7.50. See more information and book your tickets at https://hydeparkwinterwonderland.com.  The event uses renewable biofuel, recycles cooking oil, and minimises single-use plastics, while many structures and decorations are reused each year. Waste is carefully segregated, and visitors are encouraged to travel by public transport. Winter Wonderland also supports its local community by hiring locally, offering sustainable food choices, and hosting its special Winter Wishes morning for disadvantaged groups.

Guildhall Christmas Market: opening night on Monday, 8th December 2025 from 5:15 pm to 9 pm with the market day on Tuesday 9 December 2025 from 10:30am to 7pm, tickets start from £7 per person. Hosted by the British Red Cross, you can do your Christmas shopping in a beautiful, historic setting for a good cause.

Supernova London: on Saturday, 22th November 2025 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park only a 35-minute tube ride from both Inhabit Hotels. Entrance fees and minimum sponsorship requirements vary by charity (ranging from Macmillan Cancer Support, Macular Society to Cardiomyopathy UK), with options to either register with the charity for a place or use your own purchased entry to fundraise for them.
