There’s something about summer in London – the parks are greener, the days are longer, and the food? Well, it just hits different. Whether you’re strolling through a bustling market or unwinding on a shady terrace, London’s vegan dining scene comes alive in the sunshine.
At Inhabit Hotels, we know the value of nourishing both body and mind. At Yeotown, a plant-forward restaurant within Inhabit, there’s feel-good food rooted in wellness onsite. But if you’re venturing beyond our peaceful Paddington base, there’s a whole city of incredible vegan spots waiting to be discovered. Here are some of our favourites this summer.
Yeotown at Inhabit – A Sanctuary of Sustainable Dining
Before you set out, don’t miss what’s right on your doorstep. At Yeotown at Inhabit, they serve vibrant, nourishing dishes designed to energise and restore. Inspired by our award-winning wellness retreat their menu is seasonal, organic where possible, and full of colour.
Think roasted aubergine with tahini and pomegranate, courgette fritters with minted yoghurt, or our take on a plant-based brunch – ideal before a day of exploring. You can dine indoors surrounded by calming interiors, or enjoy your meal in our peaceful courtyard garden – a hidden gem on a summer’s day.

Plates (Old Street) – A Michelin-Starred Masterpiece
A trailblazer in London’s vegan scene, Plates is making serious waves – and history. Earlier this year, it became the UK’s first fully vegan restaurant to earn a Michelin star, and for good reason. Chef Kirk Haworth’s seven-course tasting menu is seasonal, sustainable and breathtakingly beautiful.
The restaurant itself is calm, minimal, and effortlessly cool – the perfect setting for a slow, thoughtful summer evening. It’s a culinary journey that feels fresh and balanced, even in warmer months. Expect highlights like:
- Amela tomato, house ricotta & frozen tarragon – a spring-loaded opener refreshed for summer
- Barbecued Maitake mushroom with black bean mole, kimchi, aioli & puffed rice – smoky, spicy and textural
Mallow (Borough Market & Canary Wharf) – Botanical Bliss
From the team behind Mildred’s comes Mallow, a light, elegant space serving seasonal vegan plates with international flair. It’s a favourite of ours for a leisurely summer lunch, especially if you’re exploring Borough Market or fancy sitting out with a botanical cocktail.
Their summer menu often features delights like wild mushroom ravioli and roast aubergine, tahini yoghurt bursting with flavour. Pair with one of their zingy spritzes and you’ve got the perfect al fresco moment.
123 Vegan by Gauthier (Soho) – French Flair, Plant-Based
If you’re in Soho and craving something elegant yet unfussy, head to 123 Vegan, a casual concept from Michelin-starred chef Alexis Gauthier. It offers a more relaxed take on his fine-dining expertise, serving French-inspired vegan dishes that are big on flavour but kind to the planet.
It’s ideal for a light summer supper before a West End show, or a stylish catch-up with friends over a glass of natural wine.
Purezza (Camden) – Summer Pizza
Purezza is proof that you don’t have to give up comfort food to eat plant-based. Their award-winning pizzas are made with sourdough bases and topped with their house-made “Mozzarella”, plus plenty of fresh veg, pesto, and seasonal twists.
Grab a table outside, share a salad and a tiramisu, and soak up the lively buzz of Camden in summer.
Mildred’s (Soho, Camden, Covent Garden & More) – A Vegan Classic
We can’t talk about vegan food in London without mentioning Mildred’s. A true pioneer on the scene, this plant-based institution has been serving up global flavours since the 80s – long before oat milk was trendy.
Their Sri Lankan curry is a must, as is their Korean chick’n burger if you’re feeling casual. With multiple locations across the city, it’s an easy go-to whether you’re heading out for a sunny lunch or a quick pre-theatre dinner.
Summer Tips for Plant-Based Dining in London
- Go seasonal – Many restaurants switch things up in summer, offering lighter plates with fresh herbs, citrus, and locally grown produce.
- Book ahead – Outdoor tables fill up fast
- Walk it off – Pair your meal with a leafy wander through Hyde Park, Regent’s Canal, or a riverside stroll.
